100 Days, 100 Ways: Day 70: Cut Yourself Some Slack
We are the inventors of our own DEMISE.
So cut yourself some slack!
As individuals, many of us tend to SABOTAGE our happiness for numerous reasons. For some unexplained reason we create obstacles that make achieving happiness almost impossible. We self-impose rules that are designed to be almost impossible to successfully keep. Then when you can't keep those rules you feel bad and guilty for not doing more, even when you were doing all you could.
So why not ease up on your own rules and on yourself.
Take this subtle reminder from the great Italian sculptor, painter, and architect MICHELANGELO: “The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark.”
Thank you,
Dave Guerra
