The Leadership Minute #17: Keep Them Informed
The Leadership Minute #17
Leadership Principle: Keep your soldiers informed
Keeping those you supervise, manage, and lead informed of day to day operations is critical. While they do not need to know everything they do need to know something. How else can they adjust to what’s going on if you don’t tell them that a key individual is no longer with the organization or a new project is starting.
Something else to keep in mind when keeping people informed. Inform them that there are somethings that are NOT for eyes and ears outside the company walls.
Then again there will be times when saying nothing at all is required. However, at some point you or the organization’s leadership will have to say something.
Pick and choose wisely but do everything you can to keep your staff informed.
