The Leadership Minute #19
Leadership Principle: Ensure the task is Understood, Supervised and Accomplished
When you are showing your staff how to do something especially for the first time it is imperative that you not only deliver a well versed and easily understood explanation and demonstration also followed by a practical application and an evaluation.
Then once you have done that repeat it until everyone gets it. Once they get it, have them do it. Ensure that the individual that is supervising the task understands it enough that it can done to the standards and expectations you have set.
As a leader, you must make it your purpose to ensure that everyone knows what to do, how to do it, and who will be in charge of getting it done.
