Happy New Year - 2022

Has it really been that long since I last wrote anything on this blog? The previous post has a date in OCTOBER 2021. YIKES!

An entire holiday season went by and I did not even give you a simple Holiday Wish of Hope, Happiness, Safety, and Merriment with your Family and Friends. Well, I do hope you had that.

Now we are halfway through the first month of 2022 and the year is already flying by. I do hope you have a GREAT, HAPPY, HEALTHY & PROSPEROUS 2022. You Deserve It. I Deserve It. We ALL Deserve It.

So let's make the best of it. Why? Because, we ALL deserve it.

Did you make any "New Year's Resolutions"? Set any New Goals? Created a New Mission?
That's what most people do, they create something new and forget what they have done in the past.

While it is good to get caught up in the moment creating new resolutions and goals. However, it is not good if you are only repeating the same old thing you did last year.

This year why not resolve to pick up where you left off and complete those long overdue goals, resolutions, visions and missions. Instead of starting something new or declaring the same thing you did last year and make it new. It is still the same thing. For example, you declared you wanted to lose 20 pounds of body weight. Well, that did not turn out so well. Thus, this year you resolve to lose 20 pounds. Is this on top of the original 20 (for a total of 40 pounds) or are you referring to just the original 20? See where I am going with this.

Now while it might sound pessimistic on my part to call out the fact that you did not lose last year's 20 pounds and now you want to lose 20 pounds. What happened to last year's resolutions? All of them?

In my case, last year I resolved to read 20 books. The year before 12 books. Well in 2020 I did meet my goal. However, the 2021 resolution fell way short. I only completely read three (3) books. Seventeen books shy of my goal. My weight loss goal never budged, I remained the same weight I started. While not gaining any extra weight is a plus. Not losing any is most definitely a negative.

Let's not take another opportunity to set ourselves up for failure. Having so many unresolved resolutions that to add on top of them makes it easier to leave them there. Instead, pull an old New Year's Resolution from the discard pile and get to work on it.

In case you didn't know, right now, this very moment you stand a good chance at actually turning that resolution into a success. Why? You are older and wiser about what it takes to mark that old resolution as complete. You know what to do and not do. Also, if you do not know how to, you should at the very least know where to look or who to ask for information on how to do what you resolved yourself to do.

To sum it up: Make 2022 the year you go back and complete the unfinished resolutions.

Finish what you started. I know I am.

Until Next Time & Thank you,
David Guerra
