PRACTICE GRATITUDE

No one owes you anything.

NO ONE! Seriously, No One!

That should never stop you from PRACTICING GRATITUDE.

Say YES! Say PLEASE! Say THANK YOU!

Most of all, SAY NOTHING!

SAYING NOTHING is the biggest and best way to PRACTICE GRATITUDE.

Say NOTHING and they misunderstand NOTHING. 

Say NOTHING and they will say something but that something will come from their point of view.

It is when you SAY SOMETHING in an attempt to Practice Gratitude that the ungrateful will admonish you for saying something they chose to NOT understand.

PRACTICE GRATITUDE when you can, as often as you can.

But if it is just going to lead to trouble or heartache, keep your mouth shut and say NOTHING.

Now what can be more respectful than that? Seriously, you are not burdening anyone with any misunderstood words, therefore, no disrespect is given. 

However, if your silence bothers them, well THAT IS ON THEM!

JOURNAL

Take note and start taking notes.

Start journal-ing at least once a day or more if you prefer.

However, JOURNAL and document you day.

Document, Document, Document but DO NOT LIE. 

Remember, the more you lie the easier it becomes to believe your own lies.

Eventually, you will be caught and then what. 

YOUR LIE & THE TRUTH will not match. 

When they do NOT match then what have you got?

You got nothing but a bunch of lies.

However, when you journal, the truth, then you have something irrefutable.

You have a truth the way you see it. 

Journal today, and every day. This time next year look back to see how much has changed since then.

Keep Jounraling then look back in 5 years, 10 years.

Who knows your kids, grand-kids, great-grandkids will look backon what Grandpa was doing and feeling.

Start Jounal and if you have already started, then keep going.

TRACK YOUR SPENDING

The HOLIDAYS are fast approaching and soon you are going to be tempted to over extend yourself.

Most people will over extend themselves needlessly all because they have this sense of bigger is better.

Well, BEING PRESENT, instead of bringing presents, IS BETTER! Trust me on this one.

However, if you absolutely positively cannot control yourself during the holidays then the time is NOW.

This very moment is the time to start tracking your spending.

Know where your money is going!

The moment you realize just how out of control your spending actually is, is the moment you realize just how far other things in your life are out of control.

It will also be a sad realization that just how much of that needless spending has all been about looking good in front of others. Usually the others that you have been trying to look good in front of ARE the WRONG PEOPLE.

Sadly, it takes at looking at the results of when you TRACK YOUR SPENDING to realize the harsh truth/the sad reality. 

YOU HAVE NO CONTROL!

So, start tracking and start getting control over your finances and most importantly; get control of your life.

MAKE YOURSELF A PRIORITY

I have said it before and I will say it again:

If you do not make yourself a priority no one else will.

If you place others before you, that is the way it will always be.

People will make themselves at home knowing you have made them top priority.

What about you? You must MAKE YOURSELF A PRIORITY!

Two things will happen once you MAKE YOURSELF A PRIORITY!

1. You will feel a change in yourself. You will feel like you are the master of your own fate. In fact, you have always been even when you were making others a priority. Now, you realize where the priority should have been all along.

2. Those that believe you would always give them priority will suddenly find themselves "offended." Be prepared to become the "monster", the "villain", the "bad guy", or whatever they feel they have label you as, all because you reclaimed your priority over those that took you for granted or never took you for anything other than a stepping stone.

REJOICE! YOU ARE THE PRIORITY! NEVER GIVE IT TO ANYONE ELSE, EVER AGAIN!

(and if they don't like it...well that's solely on them).

PLAN YOUR WEEK

You are probably very busy. 

You are more than likely a very important person.

Your time is valuable. 

You do not have time to waste.

Just like me, I am busy, important, time is precious, and there is no need to waste it.

Therefore, a great way to start any week is to PLAN YOUR WEEK.

Create the schedule that contains what you MUST do, what you need to do, what you want to do, and of course, add free time for those things that "suddenly come up."

It hits a little differently when you see it graphically displayed.

Planning Your Week gives you a sense of control.

STAY HYDRATED

Your body needs water.

Your body will die without water.

Drinking Water is how you STAY HYDRATED.

A Diet Pepsi on ice is NOT how you GET and STAY HYDRATED.

To STAY HYDRATED is not SOLELY about WATER.

There is more to STAYING HYDRATED than just drinking a tall, cool glass of water.

It is about what you put into you body and mind.

You put in nothing but garbage well do not be surprised when you get garbage out.

I am not talking just about the food you eat or just the water you drink. 

I am also talking a what you use to hydrate your mind.

Ignorance is NO EXCUSE.

In this always on, go-go-go life sometimes it can become a bit too much.

TAKE TWO HOURS A DAY and DISCONNECT.

What you do for those two hours, that is up to you.

However, make a it a rule that you are NOT mindlessly scrolling through videos, that's not DISCONNECTING.

Go for a walk. Read a book. Write in your journal. 

Do something/anything without being tethered to the digital chains that are all over.

DISCONNECT and your mind will thank you.

Don't DISCONNECT then you get exactly what you deserve.

Folks, you want a better life?

You want to live a longer life?

You want to live a happy life?

It's not that difficult. There is no "secret" to having a better, longer, and happy life! 

The actual secret is no secret at all. It is doing things for yourself, especially when it comes to what you choose to put in your body.

COOK HEALTHIER MEALS and running down to the local burger joint for an order of large fries and diet pepsi is NOT a healthier meal.

If you are to lazy to get up and cook a meal but have absolutely no qualms about boiling 2 cups of water for ramen is NOT a healthier meal.

I am not here to tell you what you should or should not be eating. The point here is to look at changing your mindset and cook your own meals. 

Then make the meals you cook yourself healthier.

You got the time to cook your own meals. 

Step Up Your Game!

PLAN YOUR DAY

Some days are better than others.

Some days you wish you were in the Army.

Some days. 

No matter what those days are or what day is it. 

Plan your day. 

Either before you go to bed or just as you wake up and that first sip of hot  motivation, plan your day.

When you plan your day, you have a schedule of events all laid out for you.

When you plan your day, you now have running head start on what needs to get done,

Plan Your Day, Stick To The Plan, Complete The Plan and when it is all said and done you have accomplished your tasks and goals for the day. You will have accomplished something.

Accomplishing something will always be better than doing nothing.

So remember, you want to succeed then start by planning your day. 

It's as simple as 1-2-3.

1. Wake Up, Drink Coffee, Plan The Day
2. Execute Plan Till Completion
3. Repeat Process Tomorrow

Seriously, Plan Your Day. Your Future Self Will Thank You.

Do Stuff You Don't Like Especially If It Has To Be Done!

There is always something that has got to be done.

Among those things there will be those that we like to do and

then there are things that we do not like.

They have to get done and so we do them.

There are many people, myself included, that do not like to do what has got to be done.

We do it anyway.

Then there are those that refuse to do it.

What is it? That which has to be done.

But what is it? It is having those difficult conversations, starting and completing a difficult task, whatever it is that you find not to your liking.

You can live ignoring what has to be done but if you want to become better at NOT JUST THE EASY STUFF (like most people) but with the Hard & Difficult Stuff then get on with it!

Wenn Sie eine neue Sprache lernen, gibt es sehr wenig, was Sie nicht tun können.
 

Das Erlernen einer neuen Sprache eröffnet Ihnen nicht nur Zugang zu einer neuen Welt, sondern auch zu einer neuen Art zu denken, zu sein und zu handeln.
 

Auf Französisch zu sagen „Wer hat den Käse geschnitten?“ ist eine Sache. Eigentlich ist es ein Anfang, aber wenn Sie nicht mehr Französisch, Italienisch, Ungarisch oder was auch immer lernen, wird dieser sehr abgedroschene und sehr abgestandene Witz sehr schnell langweilig.

Going for a walk, by yourself, is what is actually better for your physical and mental health.

WebMD says "Walking is an ideal type of exercise when you're just getting started. You can go as fast or as slow as you need. It’s easy to bump up your pace and go longer distances as you get better."

GO FOR A WALK! You deserve it.

 TAKE COLD SHOWERS

Unless you've been in TEXAS this summer (2023) it is possible to take a cold shower.

However, when the outside temperature permits to allow cold water to run through the faucet, I am all in. 

The benefits, they say Cold Showers "Improve mental health and boost immunity." 

The cold water is said to "stimulates the production of noradrenaline and beta-endorphins. Electrical impulses are sent from our nerve endings to our brain when we take cold showers, and this chemical reaction may have an antidepressant effect on some individuals. Taking a cold shower may keep you from catching a cold by heightening your immune system and making you more resistant to illness." (WebMD, 2022) 

I am not saying you need to improve your mental health but I am saying WE, ALL, need to improve it.

So, hit the showers!

Journal - Wednesday - September 6, 2023 - WAKE UP EARLIER

WAKE UP EARLIER

Consider waking up 30 to 60 minutes earlier.

I have been doing this for just over a year now and it certainly has done wonders for me and my sunny disposition.

Seriously, I started off with 30 minutes earlier and now I am 60 minutes earlier in waking up.

That extra time allows me to enjoy my first cup of coffee. Let's me catch up on my journal writing and whatever else I need to get done. Usually, it's just that first cup of coffee.

That makes all the difference.  

If you TRULY want to make an immediate change (for the better) in your life just do what it takes to wake up early.

Even if doing what it takes means going to be earlier.

 READ A BOOK.

People set goals to read X number of books, typically as part of their "new year resolution".

That's an admirable & bold statement.

However, by the first couple of weeks into the new year that is usually as far as it gets, for most people.

All show and no go!

Sadly, the truth is that those that talk a good game but fail to consistently deliver are the ones that will go out of their way to put others down.

The ones being put down are the ones that are ACTUALLY doing something.

That something is more times than not IS what they said they were going to do!

If you are one of the individuals that is putting down others because they are DOING and you are sitting on the sidelines doing NOTHING.

Yeah, stop them putting down. Your jealousy does not become you. 

It is time you get up and off your @ss and get to work. Do something. Anything.

Crack open and learn something like how to be a better human being.

FAST

To get to where you want to be is NOT to go FAST.

Remember, the following and if you don't get it, please come back when you do. 

It takes to time to get to where you want to be.

FAST IS SLOW but SLOW IS FAST

FAST serves a purpose but it is not all things to all people.

FAST ACTION works.

FAST PROCESS does not work.

Rushing the process causes problems and problems cause delays.

That is WHY Fast is SLOW!

Take Your Time and Get It Right The First Time.

TWO STEP

There are times when a good TWO STEP is needed.

There are time you will need to get yourself back in line, back in step.

The Two Step is that.

It is almost like a hop, skip, shuffle...a two step

To some people the two step is type of dance. 

That is true. The two-step gets you back to the beat. 

Back to the Rhythm no matter where you are.

Use the Two Step as often as possible.

Get yourself back on the right track.

Also, the Two Step is a great thing to use when others try to trip you up.

A quick hop, skip, shuffle, and there you are, back in step.

Back on your journey.

Journal - Friday - September 1, 2023 - NEW DAY

NEW DAY

It's a new day. It's a new month.

Yet, does something feel oddly familiar?

It feels the same as yesterday, to you?

It feels the same as last week, to you?

It feels the same as last month, to you?

It feels the same as last year, to you?

Good Heavens. You are STUCK. 

You are NOT living a NEW DAY!

You are trapped in the place between heaven and hell.

You are between a rock and a hard place.

You FORGET the journey NEVER ENDS!

You are standing in the RAIN!

What a shame, you are stuck in MEDIOCRITY!

In case you forgot, A NEW DAY means A NEW CHALLENGE, A NEW OPPORTUNITY.

A New Day means CHANGE.

A New Day means KEEP GROWING.

Too bad you forgot or you are just too lazy to remember what it all means.
