char • ac • ter / Do you have what it takes?

Do you have what it takes?

Do you have the character that it takes to be a leader? Do you have the character to stand there and take the beating day in and day out because what you know and do is right? Do you?

Some people would rather run and stick their head in the sand than to stand up and face the reality of the world around them.

You as a leader or future leader must know that your character will either make or break you. You will have to settle on one side of the coin and stick with that for the rest of you life.Sure you can try to change to the other side of the coin but when things get rough or people point out your flaws (and we all have them) you will not be prepared to stand your ground and face the reality. Instead, you will flip back to sticking your head in the sand and hope that the "bad person" goes away.

Your character will be what defines you as a leader or simply as a manager. Either you are a leader or you are manager. Remember, if the people you supervise do not come to you and see you as a leader then you will never be able to lead them. That is a very sad situation.
