Do you have what it takes?
Do you engage with others? Do you make it so? (For those that know pun intended)

Are you a leader that seeks others in order to communicate and connect?

Or are you the type of manager that sees engagement as another form of dictating? Is your definition of engaging others mean you tell them what to do and they do it?

Seriously, if that is your definition then something is wrong. Something is not working. That something has to be corrected immediately.

You have to engage with others. There is no substitute you have to be genuine when engaging. No short-changing that responsibility please. Making a solid connection with those you supervise and those you lead will only make you a stronger leader.

Engage!
